Winter/Spring 2026

L'amant anonyme

L'amant anonyme

New Camerata Opera presents the only surviving opera by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, reimagined inside a 1960s television studio as an homage to Bologne and soprano Leontyne Price — a stylish, romantic-comedy staging at the Rose Nagelberg Theatre at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Ariadne auf Naxos

Idomeneo

Bronx Opera closes its season with Richard Strauss' opera-within-an-opera, presented in a combination of German and the company's own English translation, exploring the collision between high art and popular entertainment.

Bronx Opera opens its 2026 season with Mozart's mythological tale of gods, sacrifice, and fate, set on Crete in the aftermath of the Trojan War — sung in English, and the company's first production following longtime conductor Michael Spierman's transition to Artistic Director Emeritus.
