Our Team

Scott H. Schneider

  Sole Principal

Intuitive Production Management

Sole Principal, Intuitive Production Management

Before founding IPM in 2017, Scott spent three decades building a career across theatre, opera, and live events — director of more than 30 productions with companies including Bad Dog Productions (which he co-founded) and the Yale Drama Alumni Playwright's Project, and Management credits such as The Preacher and The Shrink and An Error of the Moon (The Beckett Theatre), The Megile of Itzik Manger and KulturefestNYC (National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene), She Loves Me (Caramoor), Marie Galante (Opera Français de New York, American premiere), Darkling(American Opera Projects), and Joy (The Actors' Playhouse). Scott has served as Production Manager for the Bronx Opera Company for 20 seasons and counting — a relationship that began under Maestro Michael Spierman and continues today through IPM's recent productions of Ariadne auf Naxos, Idomeneo, Così fan tutte, and Hansel and Gretel. His production work has included Jacob Burns Film Center galas honoring Steven Spielberg, Behn Zeitlin, and Jonathan Demme, featuring tribute remarks from Ron Howard, Meryl Streep, and Jodie Foster. Profiled in Opera News (October 2015). Stage manager for opera and theatre Off Broadway, regional, and on tour. Design credits include lighting for Centenary Stage Company, dell'Arte Opera Ensemble, and Club Med International.

Prior to pursuing a career in the arts full-time, Scott served as acting comptroller for a Wall Street financial technology firm whose trade-order-routing software, at its peak, handled roughly 40% of all U.S. listed options volume — then worked alongside the firm's comptroller, whose deep expertise in financial systems design shaped Scott's own approach, to develop the company's management information systems. That background informs Scott's approach to production management today, bringing the discipline of structured, reliable systems to the inherently chaotic work of live performance.

Former Treasurer, Stage Managers' Association; graduate, Wesleyan University.

Now sole principal of IPM, Scott leads the company's work with the direct, hands-on attention of its founding vision and the support of a dedicated Advisory Council.
